BROCKHAMPTON RETURN WITH NEW ALBUM, ‘SATURATION’
Brockhampton first introduced their talent to the world with their debut single, “Dirt.” They were loud, brash, destructive and creative — just about everything you wouldn’t expect from a self-proclaimed “boy band.”
The group is made up of but not limited to: Kevin Abstract,Ameer Vann, Matt Champion, JOBA, Rodney Teno, Dom McLennon and Merlyn Wood. And I’m sure the roster grows by the month. They’re a bunch of kids who met on the Internet and just so happened to be really intriguing when it came to making music. They released their All-American Trash mixtape last year, then, along with Kevin Abstract in support of American Boyfriend, toured the country together. That tour has been documented in a new TV show, American Boyband.
Amidst touring the country, the members settled down in a house in South Central LA to make their new project,Saturation, which they’ve promoted with videos for new songs “Face,” “Gold,” “Star” and “Heat.” All the videos were directed by Abstract, shot on a hella low budget and in their neighborhood.
Saturation, like the official debut of American Boyband on VICELAND, was released tonight. At 17 tracks, there are no features outside of the members in the group. The lineup changes song-to-song, so we’ll leave that to you to figure out. Or, you can visit the new brockhampton website, which has all the credits.
