Lil Durk first single for Def Jam, Dis Ain’t What U Want, expressed his frustration with what he saw as the misplaced blame for Chicago’s street violence.

Lil Durk was born in the notoriously violent Englewood neighborhood in Chicago’s South Side. His father, Dontay Banks, began a prison sentence for life in 1994. He has two sons named Zayden and Angelo and a daughter named Bella.

As he proved on “My Beyonce,” his romantic duet with DeJ Loaf, R&B is not a far stretch for Lil Durk. From the early drill days, Durk was always the most melodic of his peers.

YFN Lucci is another artist whose melancholic sing-raps give him the ability to do a variety of styles, and together on “Feel God,” they’re a natural pairing.

The track, which appears on Durk’s new Signed To The Streets 2.5 project, is gently sung but far from subtle: “Late night sex feel so good / Bend you over / Put that dick inside your gut / If the neighbors hear don’t give a fuck / I’ma call ya, 2 AM I’m pullin’ up,”.

Signed To The Streets 2.5 precedes Lil Durk’s Signed To The Streets 3, which is expected to be released soon.

The Chicago rapper has been releasing music regularly over the last few years, often delivering at least two projects annually. In August, Durk teamed up with Lil Reese for the Supa Vultures EP.
